John Oxley
Strategic Political Insight for Business and Policy-makers
I analyse political and policy developments with a particular focus on what they mean for organisations, decision-makers and the wider strategic environment.
My work covers Westminster and British politics, public policy, political strategy and international affairs. I’m interested less in the daily political theatre than in the underlying incentives, institutions and constraints that determine what governments and political organisations can actually do.
That perspective is informed by experience on both sides of the divide: working with political and policy organisations, while also spending years inside businesses dealing with strategy, regulation, growth and organisational change.

Writing & broadcasting
Alongside advisory work, I write regularly on British politics and public policy and appear across television, radio and podcasts. This provides a useful additional perspective: I am accustomed not only to analysing political developments, but to explaining them clearly to a wider audience.
For organisations that need to understand politics without losing sight of commercial or operational reality, that combination is useful.
